Why Iter exists

Studying is almost always a lonely task. You spend hours in front of your notes, nobody sees the effort, and it is easy to lose track of how much you have really moved forward. And the same phone you could use to keep track is home to the apps that steal the most time.

Iter exists to turn that around: so that your phone helps you study better, your effort becomes visible and sitting down to study feels a little less lonely.

What makes Iter different

We measure effective time, not time sitting down. If you switch to another app, the timer stops counting; if you let the screen turn off by itself while you study, it keeps counting. When you finish, you know how much of the session was real study.

And that effort can be shared. You post your session with its time bar, follow other students, join the live study room at your library or a friend’s, and compare hours with your group. Watching others study motivates more than any solo timer.

How we work

A few rules, and we keep them:

• You decide who sees you: your account can be private and you can block anyone.
• We review every report within 24 hours and remove whatever breaks the rules.
• The essentials are free. Iter Pro is an optional subscription for those who want deeper stats and other extras.
• You can delete your account whenever you like, from the app or from your browser.

Who it is for

Anyone who studies: secondary school and university students, people preparing competitive public exams, language or professional exams, and self-learners. Iter is available in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian and Portuguese, on iPhone and Android.
